Re: Super Ape Vs. Return of Super Ape
Has been discussed in the forum previously,Donovan.But YES ,the Trojan release is spot-on for quality.No " wow-ing " as in the VP release,it appears that a concentric ( not offcentre ) copy has been used to master this release.Also there are bonus tracks and the "Scratch the Super Ape " is taken from the JA release,as are the bonus 7" tracks etc..Well worth the money,go get it!!!!

Re: Super Ape Vs. Return of Super Ape
I like both albums. but like the most of you i prefer the super ape album..it sounds more magic andy mystic to me..but of course i would not like to miss that return of the super ape album..
to me the super ape album sounds more mystical and dreamy..while the return sounds to me experimental, weird and more challenging. I think it's easier to like super ape than the return of. I mean that people that never heard black ark reggae before, will have it hard to get in to the return of the super ape flow

I have this version too:
[cover=7647,5075]
My vote goes to Return - one of the most crazy albums in the reggae world:)
But of course Super Ape is also superb...
