Just wondering what were the origins of the called "showcase" LP albuns...first showcase release,etc...
and why not?What's your favorite showcase album?:)

My favourites have to be the three mentioned in the above article.

A showcase album I feel doesn't get mentioned often enough is Reggae Georges on Skyjuice with productions by Jah Woosh. Very very good album.

in relation to a previous thread of mine i would suggest a more recent production with a real old roots flava on **M RECORDS** called **CULTURAL ROOTS SHOWCASE**, with tunes by **MICHAEL ROSE, ADMIRAL TIBETT, MIKEY GENERAL AND RANKING JOE**, all tracks inna showcase stylee really deserving to get a hear
