NYC Record Shops!!
Greetings! I am going to Manhattan next week for 4 days and I am wondering if anyone can give me suggestions for record shops that have a nice selection of Reggae (in or around Manhattan). I know about Jammyland and Deadly Dragon already. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance. Respect.

Re: NYC Record Shops!!
you have a select few still around.
Be sure to call Jammyland as I believe the have or will be closing down its doors (hopefully this is just a rumor). The carry mainly reissue
Then you have Deadly Dragon inna chinatown. Great selection of vintage original chunes. From ska to digikal era and everyting in between. If your looking for mostly LP's and few 45s there are some nice shops in the lower east side
Good Records on est 3rdst has a small but nice collection of LP, 12" and 45.
Also Gimmie Gimmie records has a nice collection of used LPs.
Never been to ethiopian taste. I should being in brooklyn myself.

jammyland is not closing down as was rumored a while ago.
they open at 12:00
vp records, who owns greensleeves, is in queens.
king majesty, if it is still aorund, is in bronx, on jerome avenue (kind of a sketchy area)
bleeker bob's in the village always has good ones to choose from
coxone's music emporium used to be in brooklyn, but i dont know if it is still in business or not nowadays.

I don't live in NY, but every dealing I've had with Jammyland has been terrible. That guy is a dick.
