Hey guys, I am a fan of Freddie McKay's Lonely Man LP, but does he have any other really good albums I should know about it. Does he have harder roots stuff? thanks

"Harsh Words" on Gorgon and "Best of" on GGs are highly recommended for roots enjoyment and off course "Picture on the Wall" on Studio One.

Freddy McKay is my favorite singer. What a loss to not have people like him and Lacksley Castell around anymore.

Freddie mckay is my favorate reggae artist.... Any song or album you can find is well worth the time it takes you to find it. Any style he sings, from roots and culture to love songs, he is among the best reggae singers. He sing from his hearth.
He has no nead to change his voice, why he didnt make it in the music industry I just don't know.

I have a copy of Lonely Man and love it as well. I was just thinking about putting a post on here saying how underappreciated Freddy was/is. Glad you beat me to it.
Ebay (US) has a copy of McKay's "Doin It Right" for $3.99 Buy-It-Now. I own this CD and believe it would be something worth your time. It's very rootsy and good. The material is from a few years later than the majority of Lonely Man and is still straight up roots but has better propduction/ sound quality.

Also wanted to add:
On Doin It Right Mckay is backed by the Revolutionaries (or at least several of them)and was recorded by Alvin Ranglin. The songs Rome, When the Right Time Come and Blow Wind are worth the price of admission. The rest of the songs are great, too!
