Does such a version exist? Any opinions about it, if you've heard it?
It was one of the VERY FIRST reggae tunes I ever heard, way back in 1973/1974, when I bought the Wailers LP "Catch A Fire" (yes, with the original Lighter cover... Still have it too)
Anyway, LOVE the song... Of course, I've since found out how it was "doctored-up" a bit to "appeal to a wider audience", with the steel-guitar licks by Wayne Perkins, etc. Anyway, still like that version as well as the Jamaican mix version on the Catch A Fire Deluxe version.... Aaaah nostalgia.

I know there's an unfinished/partly unmastered black ark bootleg 12 inch mix from this tune..
I think Perry gave it away when he went totally nuts, or it was stolen from the black ark...

they also "doctored-up/butchered up" Downpressor Man from Peter Tosh, the original sounds way tuffer and much better...
