Has anyone got this album? And is it worth the purchase?.
I have the "Trojan Dub Box Set","Trojan Dub Box Set Volume 2" and "Trojan Roots Box Set" which are great compilations! but how does this 12" set fair?. Are their any other must haves with regards to Trojan releases?.
Help would be appreciated(tu)

Don't have the 12" you mention, but do have these 2, which I think are must-haves;Dubs_West wrote:Are their any other must haves with regards to Trojan releases?

Also the following, although it isn't in the same *series*;

There is a previous thread that does recommend the 12" - **["Trojan Compilation"](http://www.roots-archives.com/forum/rea ... #msg-37756)**

Hi Dubs West,
Yes, I do, and I recommend it.
Lots of standards (Money in my Pocket by Dennis Brown and Prince Mohammed, Small Axe by Bob Marley and the Wailers + Upsetters version), but also really incredible rare tunes, like 'Stand and Look' by Dad Brown (never heard about that guy elsewhere). I would buy the box again, only for that song!
Cheers

I recommend it also. A lot of very good tunes on there! Disc 1 is not really my taste, too much lovers, disc 2 is all 70s roots and disc 3 early 80s. Disc 2 is the best.

Re: Trojan 12" Set
I agree, that one is a good buy! If you enjoy it i'd recommend the "Haul and pull up" compilation, also by Trojan. Got many 12" mix tunes as well and is available on vinyl if you're into that (like me and most people here
) It's more focused on the rub-a-dub/dancehall sound though.
The dancehall box set is another good choice in my opinion..
Hope i helped you, bless - Nilo
