I know that there are some ardent lovers of Pablo Gad in this Forum which makes me hope that I can get answer to my question.
I have this record as a dutch release from 1983 on the Reggae Sound label (no. PG 100). This is an altogether different record to the release on french Celluloid label shown in the Archives as the same as the original 'Trafalgar Square'.
My copy has the following tracks
a1. Bloodsuckers
a2. Black before Creation
a3. Visions of Pablo
a4. Lighter shade of black
b1. Hard Time
b2. Tru I de Jail
b3. Riddle I dis
b4. Iration
Like the title says it is a showcase album, every track has an extended dubmix.
So, now what is this ? A missing mystery or just a fag ?
I have the 'Hard Times' and 'Trafalgar Square' records in my collection and can confirm the difference of the tracks that appear on these and the 'Bloodsuckers' record.
Any comment will be appreciated.
Greetings

Re: Pablo Gad - Bloodsuckers (showcase) LP
I bought this brand new in 1984 and its been one of my favorites every since. Dunno why its never been reissued, it absolutely should be! I hold it far superior to hard times and Trafalgar Square... heaviest tracks off the 2, with versions. I only have a copy on old tape and have always looked for it without success.

Got this one.
Very good lp, with killer tunes (Iration is my favorite)
But I don't know who are the "Young Zien Steppers"
credited as backing band...
My copy has a little sticker on it.
It mentions : SPECIAL IMPORT Burning Sounds BS 1054
Also got the Trafalgar Square lp (Burning Vibrations BS 1038)
& the Bloodsuckers lp (Celluloid CEL 2-00 6530) and i can
confirm tracklistings are different.
One Love

Basically this is a compilation of 12" from Burning Sounds and was released only in the Netherlands. Killer album!
I'm actually at this instance uploading the album to the moderators server so they can listen to it and then add it to the site.
It's definately the strongest album with Pablo Gad.

'The Young Zien Steppers' are the nucleus of Black Slate with some added musicians. For personnel look at the 'Hard Times' record.
As mentioned somewhere else, these sounds could also be collected under 'Black Slate music'
Thanks for your comments so far and to kalcidis for making the addition to the Archives.

I'd sure like to have the Nederlands version of "Bloodsucker" if it becomes available on CD.
I have the celluloid version mentioned bought in Seattle in 1982, and the Burning Rocker red vinyle Trafalgar Square 12" single, which may be the best sounding disco single ever recorded.
You all are the first group of folks I've found who know anything about Pablo Gad, FYI. I tried to share his music via nightclubs and radio shows, but most folks just wanted to hear songs they already knew...
Peace and Noise...

I'm very confused now ... but at least it reminded me of this great LP that I just pulled out to give a spin. Pablo Gad is great. Too bad there hasn't been any interviews with him.

Sorry guys, I will have to close this thread as there's nothing but spam being posted on here. (Probably by some robot or something)
