greetings to all! would like to seek help from any out there to identify dates of the folowing dave & ansel collins songs:

Only the Strong Survive 1971

Are you sure that the others are by both dave & ansel?
many of them are by dave (baker) & the upsetters as far as I know!

shocks of mighty is from '72..

Sorry bonga, but " Shocks of Mighty " is from 1970.

" What A Confusion " is from 1971.Written by Lee Perry, the single says by :- Dave Barker and Bunny Livingstone.

Have you been listening to " Double Barrel - All The Hits Plus More " ?. :D If you have,it`s a very smoooooth album,yeah.Awesome bass and slick production !!!

well, shocks of mighty from Dave Barker & the upsetters is from '70. Shocks of Mighty credited to D & A collins is from '72 ( trojan, TR-7875A )

yeah well, It's quite confusing because several tunes mentioned are (as far as I know ) solo singles or tunes with other artists....

On Broadway - solo tune...
Just my imagination - Barker & Lloyd charmers...
only the strong survive - solo tune..

And I even doubt if some of the tunes are by Barker at all....(like burning love for example...)

On Bradway - dave baker (prod.Bunny Lee) 1970
Shocks of mighty, dave baker and the upsetters (prod. Lee Perry) was printed in JA in 1970 but in Uk in 1972 by trojan

Thanks everybody for the info. I got a hold of this 5-disc box set "Ultimate Reggae" from Pegasus label, where one disc was a so-called Best of Dave & Ansell Collins CD. However, no liner notes, that's why i appreciate all the info all of you shared. Apparently, seems like this compilation is more of a Dave Barker best of.
