I HONESTLY THINK THAT DON CARLOS WAS THE ORIGINAL FOR STARTING THE GROUP. MICHAEL ROSE REPLACED HIM BECAUSE THEY COULDNT FIND A RECORD DEAL AT THE TIME SO MICHAEL ROSE ADAPTED THE NAME AND MADE HIS CAREER WITH THE BAND.

The original founder of Black Uhuru was duckie simpson ( garth dennis and don carlos).Micheal rose and Don Carlos had already done some recordings.If you look over the years duckie simpson is the only ( original Member )who remains.The other members kept on changing or passed away ( puma jones ).There is however different information available On the record ( love crisis ) it's saying that micheal rose formed it In the rough guide to reggae it's saying that duckie formed the group.And years ago I read an article on duckie simpson ,i thought it was in the Beat( america 1992 ),confirming that duckie Simpson is THE ONE.
