Itals-Mind Over Matter CD

Post by Jason Allen »

The itals myspace page say the tracks on this disc have been remastered.
As a person who always felt the Brutal Out Deh tracks sounded in need of some help, I want to ask if anyone has this new disc and how the sound compares to the 2 original LPs (Brutal and Rasta Philosophy)?

P.S. What's the packaging like?

I dont have the CD that you refer too, but I do have the "Brutal Out Deh" and also "Early Recordings" on Nighthawk CD which are both remastered. I found the sound quality on those two pretty good.

If the CD you talk of is of the same standard then I would imagine it is fine. Cant comment on "Rasta Philosophy as I dont have that one".

I dont know the CD you refer to either so I cannot comment on packaging either. But again, if it hits the same standard as the Nighthawk CDs then it should have som decent liner notes.

Thanks, Dave.

This disc is a remastered version of all the tracks from Brutal Out Deh and Rasta Philosophy that the Itals self-released when Nighthawk went out of business. Accordin g to the Itals the sound is supposed to be changed around and remastered and I'm wondering what it sounds like. I should have mentioned these details in my first post but figured people would know about this new compilation.
I have all their Nighthawk LPs except for Rasta Philosophy and am wondering if buying this disc would be a good way to get at a copy of those tracks.

I also have all Itals LPs on Nighthawk. At this moment I have a spare copy of the Rasta Philosophy LP for sale.

I'm willing to sell this item to anyone who's interested.
