Moodies = Earl Moodie's label, from NY. No Harry Mudie connection.
But sometime it is also (wrongly ?) taken for an Harry Mudie imprint.

Lots of big studio one names also recorded stuff on moodisc btw, like Alton Ellis, John Holt, Horace Andy ( there's a nice single from him called mr Talkative on the Drifter riddim.. ) Cornell campbell, etc...
And there's also a connection with King Tubby btw. He did the versions of several 7" moodisc singles in the early seventies ( though often not credited... )
