Getting very much into the Revolutionaries, and was wondering about your opinions on these two rare LPs:
Revolutionaries 'Dial M For Murder In Dub Style'
Revolutionaries 'Revolutionary Dub'
(this is not the same as the LP listed under this title on Roots Archives - it was produced by BB Seaton, and has some extremely strange artwork!) http://members.shaw.ca/dublp3/revolutionary.html

I have the Dial M... one and I think it's good. Not essential since it's a bit expensive, but worth picking up if you see a cheap copy.

Dial M is amazing, can't speak on the Seaton produced LP.

The Seaton "Revolutionary Dub" LP is barely even a dub album. It has very few effects, just track dropouts. However the riddims are pretty solid so I'd say it's worth a listen.

in my words.
Revolutionaries 'Dial M For Murder In Dub Style'
a good phil pratt production, not that easy to find, it has a brutal dub cut to [disaster junior brown]
Revolutionaries 'Revolutionary Dub'
aka trenchtown dub on [original music]
it kind of fit the gun court dub series, not that exciting but listenable. BTW it's not the Revolutionaries, backing band :Concious Minds

Re: Info and opinions on rare Revolutionaries LPs
Revolutionary Dub credited to Jah Seaton is NOT the same as Trenchtown Dub, believe me, I have both. And the sound is definetly different to the first (and only original) Gun Court Dub album.
IMHO Revolutionary Dub is one of the best dubs ever and I do prefer dub mixing in the early style.
This dub is more in a musical style close to the original King Tubby dubs playing with the music in a raw and spacegiving fashion.
Dial M.... is another Revolutionaries Dub of the better kind. It has its own riddims and is not another Channel One reworking of wellknowns.

Bellyman i have to disagree on that point, i had Revolutionary Dub when it first came out and i had remember a couple of tracks from it. check the track listings for both albums and see. it's a strange reggae world. unfortunatly i don't have either with me to prove my point further.

as for this lp, like i said i only recognized one track on itas stated in my earlier post, but it was a channel one mixed lp. but you're right about it with not well known riddims, these are underground tracks.
