Re: Echo Minott
Nope, its pretty crap imo.
Better album from this period is the "Meets Frankie Paul"
I would go for "Sly and Robbie Showcase", "Youthman Vibrations" and "Rock and Calypso" first.
To be honest I dont think any of his albums as a whole are brilliant but that do have some good tracks.
His 12" output is somewhat more consistent.

Dave,
You seem to know the Echo Minott material. How is the "Anthology" CD, for someone with no Echo Minott in their collection?

Chris,
I dont have that album so I cannot really comment. It appears to cover sevaral decades and I only know the 4 albums I mention.
I would imagine the majority of that "Anthrology" album is later 80`s onwards and assume digital in sound.
Perhaps someone who has it can comment.

Tunes on this Anthology album are mostly 1986+ digi stuff. The first 6 tunes will fit in RA's scoop and are wicked.
Some murder digi tunes on it:
* put your hands pon the key
* what the hell (the police can do)
* murder weapon
* emmanuel road
* original fat thing.
Skip the remixes.
So pretty worth listening.

Re: Echo Minott
Thanks Dave and Hans.
The one song I had read about and was interested in was: "What the hell (the police can do)".
Thanks again,
Chris
