We've found him back. Still working as an electronician off Maxfield Avenue (Ashley Road). He started his own sound system, Count Gideon The Stinger in... 1959 ! And used to fiX amplifiers for Duke Reid etc. In the interview published in Natty Dread # 36 (with terrific pictures from way back), he also tells us about his trip to Miami :
" In 1962, I realised that Coxsone and the Duke would go to America in order to buy some unknwon foreign records. I bought myself a plane ticket and landed there. But I had no contact, no money. I tried to find a job to get some money for the records. But couldn't find any ! Two weeks later, I came back to Jamaica without any record..."
