There is a new species of ant discovered in the early 1990s-Ghost Ant which comes from cuba, Puerto Rico and the florida everglades - islands. when they joined up the florida keys with roads connecting them to the main land USA they have spread right up to Canada.Also in the UK and have traveled in potted plants and fruit from florida.Now because the council sink estates have very hot heating in them it is perfect for them and in the summer they can go out side and find new terrortories.You have heard of the killer bees,this is the killer ant used to sort out the Pharaoh Ants which come from Eygpt and was brought over to the uk with the British Armys hardware coming back from the North African campaine in the 50s. and you fought the humans built the pyrimids.The Ghost ant is very very small get focused no thats not floaters in your tea its ghost ants floating in your cup of tea.Nomadic headquarters.A ghost ant nest (headquarters) can be as small as a lighter and they like electrical magnetic fields.so its perfect in light fittings, kettles, fridges, washing machines, so down in the ghettos their washing machines are breaking down, so they get the engnineer who aint got a clue whats wrong with it. thats because he aint pest control.
The Ghost ants would nest in your kettle.you now got a load of ghost when the ants nesting in the kettle make it turn on and off like a ghost.ghost was it really there.

There are a lot of council estates across the uk with this problem and the council is just blasting them and the tenants with chemicals which is a losing battle and costing local councils hundreds of thousands of pounds.

Tom Rasberry is an exterminator from Pearland, Texas who first identified the crazy rasberry ant in 2002. Rasberry has been the key to the fight against the cunning nano-sized ants who have been known to short out many different types of electrical apparatuses and estimates that he has spent over 2000 hours researching them.

Hired By NASA:
The Johnson Space Center called in Rasberry around March 2008 in an attempt to keep the ants out of their facilities. Rasberry found three colonies at the NASA site, but all have been small enough to control. Mysterious Insect Baffles Experts:

Experts have been baffled by the presence of an unidentified insect in parts of London.
The tiny red and black bug first appeared in the Natural History Museum`s Wildlife Garden in March 2007.
Since then it has become the most common insect in the garden and has also been spotted in Regent`s Park and Gray`s Inn.
The bug appears to be harmless, but there is potential for it to spread throughout the UK, said experts.

The best most effective `natural` (no chemicals) way of getting rid of Ghost Ants is Borax (old fashion style) washing powder, which is a natural detergent used to help allevate damaged fabrics and dyes and also protects against chlorine bleech in the mains water supply . People used to make homemade washing power and was used a lot during World War II. It`s what they use in dishwashers and washing machine tablets, but buying Borax powder only costs £1 a 1kg box and you only need a tablespoon.

Same with cockroaches, they don`t like the smell of Eucalyptus and they will run as fast as they can to get away for the smell of Eucalyptus. You can get Eucalyptus oil in a little bottle for £1 (not the one you oil burn for aromatherapy they cost over £5). You pour half a bottle of Eucalyptus in two pints of hot water in a bowl to get it infused, then wipe down all you surfaces walls, kitchen surfaces, fidges, washing machines. You will then get a lovely aromatheraphy strong smell throughout your flat/house. Same goes for the Ghost Ants and Pharaoh Ants but without the aromatheraphy. Put a Table spoon of Borax in two pints of hot water and wipe down your surfaces with a cloth or sponge and where the ant trails have been. It will get rid of any scent makings and you will notice a difference straight away. Once you start doing that within a week or two the ants would have gone away. (more easier places to go). Try it, it works, while everyone else in the sink estate is putting up with the little critters.

Cockroaches: "Urgh, what`s that horrible Eucalyptus smell? Me: "I think it`s very nice, anyway it`s my kitchen not yours, and I don`t battle for my kitchen, it`s my kitchen" Once you get into a battle with the Ghost Ants it`s the Ghost Ants kitchen.
