Hello =)
Just wondered if anyone could help me identify this tune I heard Jah Shaka playing at the Johnny Clarke concert @ Jazz Cafe last month.
The lyrics included the words 'roots natty congo' (no not the Johnny Clarke one!) and then 'roots natty bongo'.
I know this is vague but i hope one of you music experts can help!
Thank you
Josephine =)

Josephine-
Sounds like Trinity's "Natty Bongo" from Yabby You meets Trinity at King Tubby's Dub Station.
Shaka certainly would be prone to play Yabby's rhythms. You can check a sample at:

hey guys, thanks for this!
i think african world wide is dillinger over johnny clarke's 'roots natty congo' right? if so, that's not the one but thank you!
checked out natty bongo, not sure if it's that either, in the tune i heard, he said roots natty congo first, then roots natty bongo. i'm pretty sure! might check the dub version of this (if there is one) to be sure its not this though...
