I love the humour of many great roots artists, so I just thought I'd start this thread to canvas your opinions on funny turns of lyric. I'll start with...
"ain't no man who stand firm/ever gonna get eaten by a worm"
...which is quoted from Dr. Alimantado on Raphel Green and Lee Perry's 'Rasta Train' disco cork.
Any more?

Welton Irie: Rolling Stone (Lamb's Bread International)
Now arse is arse and class is class
Now dis yah DJ 'appens to be the boss
Prince Jazzbo: Gal Boy I-Roy (If DJ Was Your Trade)
the whole song is very funny and excellent. Hard to chose a line or two.
There is a massive wealth of humour in the roots material - one of the things that has always kept me listening.
Nice topic!
