to emphasize on this, its: 'EACH and EVERY action, has an EQUAL and OPPOSITE reaction.

p.s just trying to stress the point...

Yes. I was trying to get my head around how it can be opposite. If I do a bad thing to someone, a bad thing will be done to me. I guess that is opposite isn't it?

It is very hard to understand if you don't accept re-incarnation. Because then you'll struggle to understand why a baby, seemingly innocent, should have bad things done to it. If you accept re-incarnation then you can understand that PAST lives are effecting present ones.

As I said in another thread, it isn't easy to get our simple heads around. But think of life as a HUGE tapestry, and one where we are only able to see individual stitches, not the whole tapestry / picture. And therefore we really struggle to understand why things happen and how they are all so interlinked.

But if we were all to sing praises to the name of God, all the badness would melt away.

Fat chance. Instead they are all singing praises to false Gods (celebrities, designer labels etc).

truely disgusting, hard to believe anyone could do these acts to others, but like it is mentioned by another; these things happen often that we do not hear about -humanity couldnt be further from the love we are blessed with.

@ Leggo Rocker
can make out your fuzzy stuff at all.
No one deserves anything. It is a material world and goodness and badness are things that happen because people people do them.
People who do bad things certainly give off a bad 'vibe' but to call this karma or whatever is a bit silly. the carry guilt and responsibility for their transgressions in their mentality and chemistry and can almost be smelled a mile away! We're animals - thinking animals, but we have it seems lost a lot of the instincts 'lesser' animals have.

People who good things - well like some of the songs say 'good will follow you' - it's philosophy not spirituality - and it really does follow you. It is ridiculously obvious.

We often trust when we should not, we don't sense danger when it is imminent, we get on planes when we feel that they are going to crash etc. We distrust our animal nature and then we are horrified when we see or hear about others acting on pure instinct, herd mentality.

I think the sooner 'spirituality' is more closely aligned with a more scientific database of knowledge that explains, feeling and thinking and intuiting - the sooner we get to a point of a peaceful understanding of ourselves.

And I can see that this not happening now.

I am ex-catholic - never really was one but grew up that way and am now very much atheist. And happy to say so.

I am all for science but distrusting of many aspect of how science is conducted (corporate control etc) and thoroughly distrustful of so called 'modern medicine'.

I am an omnivore because it works for me.

If this is too much disclosure then I must be just in a rambling mood.

Oh dear, what have I don...

I believe in science too. Just I believe in a science which is unchanging and eternal. Not the transitory perceptions or theories of men - and one that changes from one time to the next as new 'discoveries' are made.

Yes, it may seem fuzzy to you because I have used a few hundred words to (badly) explain how it all works.

As for science. Someone please explain the big bang for me. Like: Where did it happen? Where did the matter that exploded (or whatever) come from?

And finally, someone explain to me where personality comes from.

I know where it comes from, it comes from God because he is a person too.

The more I study my beliefs, the more sense and logic I find. It is not unscientific. That is a mistake and a misconception put about by men who are unable to accept or conceive that a higher being really exists and it is HE who is in control here, not us.

One day, when scientists finally get to the sub-sub-atomic level, they'll find God there smiling at them. Sadly, they'll never do it because they'll have destroyed us all long before they get that far.

hem lego does it mean that you're bold right now just because you grew your hair in the past?

I have to admit this is the first interesting thing of this new age-yuppie theory you keep on repeating on and on

Oras. I am not a new age hippie, never have been. My knowledge and direction comes from the Veda, which is ancient. How ancient, that depends on who you believe. But it certainly pre-dates Hippies.

It is not a theory. It is a scripture.

It is not *my* philosophy, nor one I invented.

I don't ask anyone to believe it, nor do I force my views on any one. I simply engage in informed and educated discussion with bredders and sistren here who wish to do so.

You are all free to be atheists (and I was brought up as one, my family had NO religion), Jews, Baptist, Christian, Muslim, whatever you want and I have no intention of trying to convert anyone.

But if you want to listen to what myself and others are saying here, do so. If you don't, leave the thread and stay far.

As to your original 'question':

And yes, actually there is a reason why I am bald and it is to do with my past actions, at least that's what I think.

thanks for your reply!
but in your vedantra stuff, being bald is a mess or a bless?
I mean all the bald guys did something wrong in the past or maybe all the non bald guys made something wrong? if so did they make the good or bad action?

Like I said, it isn't *MY* Vedanta stuff.

If you REALLY want to learn something about this stuff, do some reading.

Once you've done that, you'll be better informed and welcome to decide which path suits you best.

I really couldn't care which way you go - you have freedom of choice and I have my own soul to save.

Those who seek, they shall find.

Just one, genuine question Oras. What do YOU believe? Are you Rastafarian? Christian? Athiest? Orasian? OK, if you don't want to answer, I'm just a bit confused.
