Gregory Isaacs - Jailer,Jailer
Can anybody shed any light on this release ? Did Lee Perry have anything to do with this ? The guitar licks and the percussion sure sound like it.

According to Dave Katz' 'People Funny Boy'
'Mr Cop' seems to be all that ever emerged from any Black Ark session(s) although apparently there was another one titled 'Set Back' that was recorded but never issued.

Re: Gregory Isaacs - Jailer,Jailer
I understand that " Mr.Cop " was done at the Black Ark,having a copy of " People Funny Boy ",but while listening to " Jailer,Jailer " the other night I was VERY curious about the feel of the track, perhaps Scully did the percussion ? ( It doesn`t necessarily have to have been done at the Black Ark. )
Ron at " Smokey Room " flags up three tracks that have a Perry connection. These being " Mr. Cop "," Warrior " and " Jailer,Jailer ".Hence, why I asked the question.Hmmm........

Re: Gregory Isaacs - Jailer,Jailer
Checking the production credits to " Jailer... ",I found out that the producers are listed as Gregory Isaacs AND Pete Weston. Now, I know that Pete Weston occasionally used the Black Ark and the services of Lee Perry,so is there any connection there ?......

Re: Gregory Isaacs - Jailer,Jailer
All three are Black Ark recordings.
Both Mr Cop and Warrior were released as 7 inch as well,
[Mr Cop](http://www.smokeyroom.net/07inch/goldenage.htm)
[Warrior](http://www.smokeyroom.net/07inch/africanmuseum.htm)
though I have never seen a 7 inch release of 'Jailer'.
