mighty maytones and little roy

mighty maytones and 'little roy' 12 titled hard rock times. GGs 093. anybody heard this?
its the maytones with a dj on both sides. surely this isnt THE little roy. anyone got any info? thanks in advance.

This Little Roy actually is the DJ featured on both sides and has not to be confused with the roots singer christened Earl Lowe. One of the many forgotten artists who only appeared on one or two sides like these.
B-side of that 12" should be 'Promises' then.
Released in 1981.

spot on bellyman. thats the one with promises on side 2. unusual use of name so....
a lot of maytones 12s have dj versions that dont credit the dj at all. i thought this must be a misprint. thanks for info, appreciated to the max.

hi dudley 1ne. you sure? i already had 'promises' on a funkey hut 12 with the same dj version but no name given. got the GGs 12 lately and its credited to 'mighty maytones and little roy'. any idea who the djs are on 'creation time/rain from the sky(side 2), and rebel goat, both on GGs . rain from the sky sounds like prince fari. thanks.

yes i'm very sure it's him, he's also Nu-roy from this lp too.

i also have the promises 12" as well, he's not credited on that as you stated,as for the 'creation time/rain from the sky it's Prince Far I. and finally for rebel goat that would be Trinity.

what can i say... thanks dudley, while your at it, any idea of tonights lotto numbers?
seriously, a big thanks, thats cleared up a few things. thought it was prince fari but would never have got the trinity one. super versions too. the maytones 12s well worth checking out. niceness.
