TRUMPETER JOHNNY 'Dizzy' Moore, a founding member of the Skatalites band, died on Saturday at the age of 69.

Such a humble,soft spoken man....
Dizzy appeared in Ruff'N'Tuff which is a good doco,made recently, about the early sounds of Jamaica and he was a true gentlman. Jah bless him.

RIP Johnny and may your works live on.

Ironically over the weekend I was watching the 'Studio One Story' DVD, in which Johnny is interviewed and features heavily. Sad to see another great die, but I can only assume he is in a better place now.
