Re: Talisman
Yes the one you spoke with was the saxophonist, and he left the band after the first album.

the Live "Bath 1981" is also interesting it has been issue for the first time on 18th August, with his 8 tracks there are 2 unknown ("shine on" and "Words of Wisdom". the album makes more than 1 hour.

Re: Talisman
I am sure one of my friends still has an old VHS video of Talisman live in Bristol on Mikey Dread's Rockers Roadshow that was shown on UK TV circa 1983. Unfortunately the DVD they did me which features Black Roots and Natural Roots live from the same series, so I will have to check with them to see if they still have the Talisman one.
Shortly after this was on the TV we (my 80's reggae band 'Sound System') supported Talisman at Portsmouth Polytechnic (now University).
Anyone else remember that series?

Re: Talisman
Black roots played the generic for a Tv serie called "Frontline" dealing with 2 black brothers (a lawyer and a dreadlocks)
I think Talisman was on the project and may be Dambala too
Don't know if you speak about that serie ?

Re: Talisman
No - I remember that one - this was a show that Mikey Dread headed - showing the bands playing live in Bristol (at Trinity Hall I think).
The show was called 'Rockers Roadshow'
There is a clip from the show on youtube which is linked in another thread

This clip features another UK band of the time 'Natural Roots' - I have the full version of this.
