There are a lot of Undiscovered Gems in Jamaica

Post by DUDLEY 1NE »

I've been viewing E-bay for quite a while and seen certain pressing of Undiscovered Gems [underground tunes], not dubplates but original pressing that probably never left jamaica. have you seen records that you're curious about ? that you never knew existed ?

what's your view ??

Share a bit more with us, dudley... which tunes like dis did you found recently?

Stuff that never left jamaica... Do you mean they were never exported to UK in the 70s or chunes that still can be found only in JA?

I think it's hard to say that a tune never leave Jamaica...maybe some tunes that were released in very few copies are avable only in few collections of people that don't play in soundsystem or in radio , maybe they don't have the possibility or simply don't want that the other people know their Underground Tunes!

This is one of my silent dreams to find unknown, rare roots which is so sweet + uplifting that it fills me with joy and awe.

As far as i know Gregory Isaacs produced this (and many other tunes in the 70's and early 80's) tune by himself on his own African Museum label.
