That was a good show @ Canes (JAH Roots HIFI is alwayz Top Notch) but best reggae show ever in San Diego?
What about when The Gladiators sold out back to back nights @ Victors By The Bay in 2001?
or Martin Campbell selling out The Scene back to back nights in 2001 and then again with Horace Andy & Cornell Campbell in 2005?
or Misty in Roots @ Bob Marley Day?
or even Bob Marley @ The Sports Arena in the Late 1970's?
or...
Great show though @ Canes and look for Welton Irie in October
QEDAMAWI HAYLE SELLASSIE I ANDENYA IS GOD ALMIGHTY WITHOUT APOLOGY

Re: MICHAEL PALMER
San Diego has always been referred to (by reggae artists) as a Roots Town. But Yes, We have been blesed though...Every Year we Bring the Favorites fro the late 70's and 80's...Just this year alone we've had a classic roots/Culture/dancehall revival here in San Diego....
Johnny Clarke
Barry Heptones
Sugar Minott
Sammy Dread
Earl Zero
Triston Palma
Little John
Michael Palmer
But what is so great about our shows is that we have our local live bands and horns do the backing, who can play the music and sound so much like the old days...unlike many other bands worldwide that I have heard trying to re-create those same riddims, and NOt having the same effect..just doesn't sound right.
I must Side with Reuben though..."Best reggae show ever"!!?? I don't know about that. The trade Roots 25th anniversary show with MArtin Campbell, Cornell Campbell and Horace Andy, with Fully Fullwood on Bass and Santa Davis on Drums!!!WOW! that was great...wasn't Scientist mixing live that night as well!? He's been around here a lot the last 10 years too, mixing and engineering the sound LIVE..Can't beat that!
Thank you to all who have made these shows possible (BOth here in San diego and All over the world) Keep up the hard work!
PS
Soon Come to SD..
arrington Levy-Tonight!
Welton Irie
Milton Henry
Robert Ffrench?
Wayne Smith?
Lots more!!!
Big ups to All S.D. sound Systems running 'tings:
JAh roots Hi-Fi
Tribe of Kings
Blackheart Warriors Hi-Fi
TRC sound
The list goes on......
Copngratulations to Selektah Chunky Roots... just crowned "2008 San Diego Roots Reggae DJ Clash King Champion" at the Tournament last saturday. See you all next year at the Fifth Annual Tournament. Thanks. aDAm

Re: Michael Palmer
I can't beleive I missed Little John and Michael Palmer. Shame.
Barrington was tight tonight. He sounded just the same live as he does on cd and he was fighting the flu. I wish he would play more of his older stuff but I know its not what most people go to his shows expecting to here.
Much love to Barrington. Sounds like his next album is going to be crucial.

I can't miss the Welton Irie show.
I missed the little john since I was on vacation.
Is it true that Ranking Trevor was here in San Diego?
I saw videos of him on youtube with TRC.
Missed that one too.
Any chance of bringing Trevor back
how bout Burro Banton or Linval?

Re: Michael Palmer
now that more big reggae names are coming down to SD, hopefully, they all come back to perform at BOB MARLEY FEST since the same lineup has been on for the last three years...we need a change!
