best percussion albums

Greetings and love.
As a percussionist myself I always prefer roots albums with interesting percussions and sounds, so I would like to hear your opinion about that subject.
What's your top percussion albums in old roots style?
One of my favorites would be Mabrak - Drum talk album that was produce by King Tubby http://www.roots-archives.com/release/2420
Is there any similar albums?

I've never heard that Mabrak LP. Is it reggae with percussion or nyabinghi music?

The Mabrak LP is inbstrumental reggae with great highlight on percussion that are not only played nyabinghi but other styles too (which I would not be able to name...). very interesting one.
To answer your question it depends if you're talking about reggae or nyabinghi albums. With nyabinghi of course all the count ossie stuff is crucial : tales of mozambique, grounation (MRR), Man from Higher Heights is less known but really excellent mix of reggae and nyabinghi. Ras Michael also with Dadawah and all other albums.
On the reggae side I particularly dig the repeater on the Itals album "Give me power", it is pretty strong.

I have listen all of above nyahbinghi albums, they are all great. Thanx for suggestion on Itals, I will check it.
And this link about Mabrak, it's a masterpiece album and I didn't know all this informations. They were very helpful and interesting to read.
Do you maybe know where to find those other albums?

Agree! This album is masterpiece.
Another great nyahbinghi album is Price Tebah and Sons Of Thunder - Communication Drum

Ah thanks for the reply on the Mabrak LP. Seems an interesting LP, will probably have to wait untill some good souls reissue it.

Mabrak is a total killer album, musicians use talking drums, a typical west african instrument and as far as i know, there is no other reggae album using it.
