RKR database says 1968.
produced by Sonia Pottinger and released on both the Gayfeet (JA) and Doctor Bird (UK) labels.

Hi Trev,
too much honour for me, man. The 'stars' are Michael Turner and the late Robert Schoenfeld who did this mesmerising work on the RKR database.

Bellyman ,

I have just been bidding on ebay for a 7" on WIRL , matrix no:- WIRL SP 3771-1 / WIRL FSP 7211 which has the Lynn Taitt " Dr Paul " track on the b-side . A-side being " Say You " by Ken Boothe . I needed to know the date so as I could get the original version of " Say You " . Needless to say I got outbid at the last moment :(

Trev,

sorry for that. Does it help telling you that the original version of 'Say You' is also on the compilation "Put on your best Dress - Sonia Pottinger's Rock Steady 1967-1968"
Attack label, ATLP 109 (also on CD)?

Or has it to be the first single release? ;)

I have that version on the CD of " Put On Your Best Dress... " , but I am not too impressed with the quality as it is recorded from a copy of an original vinyl .But nevermind , another copy will come up soon , no doubt ! Oh ,the problems of being a " completist " :D
