"Top Ranking Dub Shocking" "Shalom Dub Bollock"

I dont mind either of these two releases. In truth I love dub and find something of interest on nearly every dub album I have heard.

There are of course dub albums that are superb, those that are good, those that ok and those that are weak, but to dismiss them as shocking or total bollocks is really missing the point of what the producer and or mixing engineer was actually trying to achieve.

To me each track on an a dub album is a chapter and the album completed the whole story. And its the overall cohesiveness of the album that makes or breaks it imo

TRhe only dub alnbums I dont overly enjoy are those compilations that have been thrown together using umpteem mixes produces, studios etc where the cohesiveness od the music is completly lost.

I have Shalom Dub and Top Ranking Dub along without about another 200+ dub albums and I bet I could pull anyone of them and find something to enjoy.

Dave.

I guess rootsman is correct overall, yet some dub albums are very very poor indeed.Top ranking dub has a very ugly cover, as well as being a shocking audio experience.

3 on the Roir/Danceteria label which are indeed rubbish:

Sanchez - Number 1 Dub
Niney The Observer - Observer Attack Dub (cover has astronauts putting up the Ja. flag )
Niney The Observer - Space Flight Dub
