There's yet another Little John record not in the archives. The Tristan Palmer Little John combination.

you didnt think I see you when you accidently fall,
You tear up the old dancehall"

Little John - Tear Down Dancehall - M&M 12"

The Little John i`m not sure of but if its the one I think from about 83/84 it has a track "Jump the Fence" I think. Lyrics go something like

"You didnt think I see you when you junp the wall,
you didnt think I see you when you accidently fall,
You tear up the old dancehall"

Mark

That song title sounds about right, but it was not a 12" single of that song I had in mind.

I am sure it was on an album.

Rootsman,

then it must have been a compilation album featuring Sugar Minott productions. The M&M label was one of Sugar's outlets for his releases. Plus you can find the particular song on this reissue http://www.roots-archives.com/release/4 ... ight=75969

the two Little John albums you mention are in fact on and the same. "Leggo Me hand" is the JA Volcano press, with the cartoon cover....and the "Give the youth a try" is the US Live & Learn pressing of the same album.

"Leggo me hand" is much harder to find than the Live & Learn press...and not to worry, this JA Volcano press is a nice one, unlike some of the shadier volcano pressings from the 90's.

Get either one, get it on CD if you need to...it's a classic Rootsy Dancehall album!

Robe619: "Two of a kind" on Kangal Records (Some wicked Triston Palma Productions) - Definitely needs to be added to the RA(...too bad I no longer own a copy)!!

Bellyman: I Love that 12" Disco on M&M by Little John...I was just listening to it the other day and I realized that "Tear down the dancehall" mixes with a tune on that Minott/Black roots 10" (just repressed by wackies).
Did you ever wonder what M&M meant..I figured it stood for Minott(sugar) & McMorris(john). Since this Disco is Catalog #MM003, there must be a #001 & #002...but I have never seen or heard them...just wondering if they are Little John tunes, or Little John Co-productions as well. Wouldn't matter really, only, it would confirm my guess about the label name (M&M). -[totally random, I know]
