Well, I said this not really according to the sound but more as a knowledge, Punky Reggae Party in general that is a Perry idea and is known as one of the last BA recordings. I have recordings of 2-3 takes at the black Ark with Winston Watson (Meditations) doing the harmonies, but this mix is different. I realise now, that the riddim of dis chune is a mess...
It seems that there are many overdubbed versions or alt takes, in UK and @ Joe Gibbs, after the BA...

Agree that the sound of the drums on this one doesnt have the classic Perry reverb... But Ive never considered those recordings (as Natural Mystic or I know a place, Who colt the game...) as typical "Black Ark" sounds, I really dont enjoy them. Babylon Feel dis one, sticks more imo.

So... Which part is from the Ark...
I cant listen to that youtube no more... Ill try again tomorrow...

The version given in the first post, is certainly with Aura. No doubt about that. Although I don't know Candy McKenzie's voice that well, I suspect her to be the 2nd female vocal.
There are some male background vocals as well, I can only guess those are either Meditations or Watty Burnett.

It's not quite a Black Ark mixed down version, but there's certainly some Lee Perry involvement in this song.

David Katz mentions in his book that Sly Dunbar recorded a new drum part at Joe Gibss, still I think this is the original recording, with some of the Aswad members.

this record is totally not rare as stated in the youtube clip. I've seen it lots and lots of times, usually for less than 10 euro....

Often you can find it in the crates that contain the records from UB40, Bob Marley Gregory Isaacs and alpha blondy...

Ok, Ron. You convinced me. One thing which is distracting me is that this isn't fully recorded at the Black Ark... I guess this is really produced by Lee Perry but the final mix is done by someone else. Just like in various other Bob Marley songs.
