Greetings,
The first time i got hold of this album was a recorded cassette and i still have it.Last year i got it in mp3.When i play the two track by track i notice differences.Instruments which i cant hear in tape are heard on CD.The album has been my favourite for years that i know the flow of instruments so well.Would there be two different mixes of this album?
Respect.

Re: Jah Thomas - Dancehall Stylee Question
Is that the one that originally came out on Daddy Kool label.
I wonder if its been re-mixed and new instruments added. Some posters on here said something similar about Rock and Groove by Bunny Wailer, i.e. that the CD sounded different from the original.

I've got the issue on Silver Camel. If anyone could provide sound files for the Daddy Kool issue I can always compare them.

... now it's just a matter of finding out which mix is the original and which is the remix.

Also, just to add, many of the rythmns on Dance Hall Stylee came from this album also produced by Jah Thomas.

Wow! Did not know that. Been seeing that album but always thought it was just a bit to expensive. Perhaps I should try to snatch myself a copy of it.
