Reggae By Bus Pt1

Post by Collie »

Happy Sunday....
Came across an old video I have from late 1979 / early 1980 called "Reggae By Bus".
It was made around the time of Reggae Sunplash 2 and contains a lot of footage from Sunsplash 2 including short interviews with Winston Rodney, Peter Tosh & Bob Marley. If I make two clips a available can you please let me know if these are included in the Sunsplash 2 commercially avaialable.
The first one is here, 26MB in size, "this is the lambs bread or the sensimilla? " http://download.yousendit.com/5CA7A08C15CAA0C8

All the best....

Carlos (dreadrecords)
Thanks for taking the time to look at the clip, wasn't too sure as I don't own a copy of the shop one. Would agree, Spear inna de yard interview is best, "on a cultural level".
All the best...

Performance wise Spear is no#1 on this video with his excellent showsman on the tune "THE SUN". But in interview I would take the one Peter did right after his concert while eating an apple. His words are trully magnificant and the way he explained what reggae meant really defines the man and how he viewed reggae. Life.

Give thanks.

I also have the Part 1 u refer to, but it is the complete Sunsplash II from 1979 AKA Reggae by bus, not sure why it got labelled part 1, maybe there is some extra footage knocking about, i never manged to find it though. Great dvd tho, i like the bit where them guys are singing on the rocks on the sea shore, wicked stuff.

Hi,
the dvd I have is one I recoded from a video tape of a TV programme "Reggae By Bus" I copied way back when. The part 1 is the way I labelled the tape at the time (not sure why now but it was over 25 yrs ago)apologies for any confusion I may have caused.

I will in the near future recoded these if anybody is interested:
"Time will Tell" documentary tribute to the work of Bob Marley, made shortly after 1981.
"The Lion Of Judah" documentary about Haile Selaisse.
I'll make some clips availalbe very soon.

Once again thanks for the help and interest shown by all.
All the best.....
;)

Oh by the check the new B&F Congos & Friends Fisherman Style, has two class but short quicktime movies, glimpses of Max Romeo, Horace Andy, Gregory Isaacs, U Roy.
