Original Rockers is a great LP, you can try "Authentic Golden Melodies" that is nice too, as well as KT meet Rockers, of course...
But if I could suggest you a few things apart of the main classics, with Pablo on melodica:
-Stardum (a geat melodica cut to "Guiding Light")
-No Entry (Wicked melodica cut to "Think Twice)
-Tribute To Don Drummond
-Spirit of Umoja (with Dennis Brown doing scat)
-the dub cut to Tetrack's "Let's Get Together" 12" mix is almighty
-Pablo in Moonlight City (Dub to "Please Officer")
-the very rare "Ethiopia"
Pablo as producer:
-Jr Dan - Jah Foundation
-Delroy Williams - Think Twice + All The Time + Fox Hole
-Jr Delgado - Away With Your Fussing And Fighting
-Asher and Tramble - Humble Yourself
-Bunny Brissett - Better Safe Than Sorry
-Jacob Miller - False Rasta + Who Say Jah No Dread
-Lacksley Castell - Babylon's World
-Norris Reid - Entrance of Jah World
-Mundell's stuff is usually great
There's another melodica one I've got on a Message label 7" - Pablo Armageddon, which is pretty good. Can't remember what the rhythm is though and on a quick flick through not sure if it is on any of the albums.
Thanks for the recommendations. I was able to find some, not all so far. Really like the Delroy Williams, Asher & Trimble and Norris Reid.
Three to add:
Sister Frica - One in the Spirit
Paul Blackman - Earth Wind & Fire
Norris Reid - Black forces
i think his melodica is not always fitting perfect with the tracks but there are some real big tunes in the rockers catalogue.
if there is one pablo compilation to buy then it should be the 4cd set that shanachie put out last year. great music - great sound quality and great package.
