Re: Earl Sixteen
I to ave seen this LP for sale, I believe the tracks are all 7"/12" singles that he done during the 1970`s.
It is released on the Patate label which also relased Rod Taylors Ethiopian Kings and am told is in a similar vein.
I think its worth picking up by the sounds of it

Thanks Morris for you thoughts.
However, is there anyone out there that has heard this album and can tell me a little bit more about the quality of this album.
Are the tracks crucial, heavy etc and what is the sound quality like.
Thanks in advance for any responses.

Hi Rootsman,
I rate this compilation 'well crucial' and I have every other album by Earl Sixteen. What makes this record so remarkable is the inclusion of the original version and dub to 'Malcolm X'.
Highly recommended to everyone.
Greetings.

Re: Earl Sixteen
I have the album on my computer and I think it's very worth picking up. Crucial tunes on that LP are imo Soldiers of Jah Army, Freedom, Malcolm X, Rastaman, ...
Go for it, you won't be disappointed.

Knotty!
SOLDIER OF JAH ARMY could be a crucial collection but the sound quality in some tracks is really very bad. What a pity cos de selection of tunes is great.
