I have a tune I received on CD which is a very digital (mid-late 80's) version on Wayne Wade's "Billy Red". Still sounds like Wayne Wade sings it. I absolutely love this tune and I am trying to find out what label or VA this tune is from.
I thought it was his 12" on the Jamaican label, but that is the same version as his LP.
Any suggestions?

Can't help you with the digital version (and apologies to answer your question with a question), but is that 12" available on a comp anywhere? (I have the album version on ""Fire Fire", but, well, the short version just isn't enough isn't it.
)
Definitely can't stretch to $50 for that 12", but would like to hear it again after a long, long, long time.

Pleased to report that a 7 minute version (vocal and dub) has turned up on David Rodigan's **["Real Authentic Reggae Volume Two"](http://www.soundsoftheuniverse.com/releases/?id=15563)**.
