Mr C.I.D (12" Version) tune

Post by kandi »

I like to spin this tune along side 'Jubilation - Bunny Lion' & 'Natty Dread Is A Struggler - Ranking Dread'.

My question is 'Is it really Barrington Levy & jah Thomas'on the vocals? as indicated here http://www.roots-archives.com/release/2755

The voice sounds like L Thompson. This is my first time i failed to identify B.Levy rightaway.

Any corrections,may be?

Love

The original 12" on the Attack label TACK 17 is sung by Barry Brown, written and prouduced by Linval Thompson.

The singer on Mr. C.I.D. is supposed to be a singer named Bunny Lie Lie. His voice is very similar to Linval Thompson's. Definitely not Barry neither Barrington.

Bunny Lie Lie wasn't credited apparently.
I worked with him and see him regularly in Brixton (where he still lives).
