Greetings,
Is this the tune that goes:

I can't stand this no longer...
The wicked get stronger..
I can't stand this no longer..
The battle getting hotter (?)...

Or something to that extent? If so, it is reissued on "Heptones and Friends Vol. 2" and "Joe Gibbs - Love for the Common People Anthology".

Hi Jah chicken, yes its dis one, but not the version you heard.

Its the first rocksteady version then recut for Joe Gibbs later. The first version is definitely 10x tuffer, imo...

For sure its an orig press, visually, a lot of the late 60s blanks look like dis one. I have some, even with dis red halo and they are fefinitely original press. Never seen a WailN SoulM label with dis tune too, and as Rootikalist said, I trust the seller.

Them seller don't name the price. Something worth whatever the man gonna pay. Got nothin' to do with blank label or otherwise. SOMEONE obviously feels that it is worth 1500 US.

Yes, youre right for some tunes, Selektas removed the label to hide the tune and keep it exclusive. But many pre-release were pressed BLANK, with a white label, to limit the costs, I imagine. If the tune had success in shops then they would invest more to release it properly.

Anyway, the main thing for people that pay dis crazy range of price, is to get an original copy. Especially for dis one that was probably released only as a blank prerelease! Means in likkle likkle quantities, and so the price...

Wow. It must be tuff then!! I like the Peter Tosh version a lot, but I can imagine with the full Wailers band it must be tuffer than tuff! Thanks for the info.

Have a listen at the first link, let the "fire fire" sample end and have a short lick of the other side...

You can find that on the "complete wailers" CD collection too, *at least*...

Exactly - the technology gives us a chance to listen to the music and see the state the label is in.

That's way is easy to tell, no matter what has been spouted, that damaged/torn unreadable (Upsetter) label is not a 'Blank'.

I prefer to play the vinyl - not the label.
