Re: Gregory Isaacs - Rock Away
i think heartbeat released essentially the same record as that french one under a different title with bonus tracks. i forget the title but the track list was very similar. i have that french LP and it is indeed very hard to find but contains what seemed to me to be different mixes even on familiar songs, but i believe i recall the heartbeat issue being the same mixes as the LP.
here is the one i think i mean:
(though from the track list im having doubts about what i say above!)
Gregory Isaacs, Dennis Brown, Etc. - Rock On: Greatest Hits From The Observer Label
1. Gregory Isaacs & Ranking Buckner - Paymaster Captives (12" Discomix)
2. Michael Rose - Guess Who's Coming To Dinner (12" Discomix)
3. Freddie McGregor - We Got Love
4. Ken Boothe - Left With A Broken Heart
5. Halfway Up The Stairs (12" Discomix)
6. Dennis Brown - Westbound Train
7. Cornell Campbell & Dillinger - My Heart Is Clean-Gate Number (12" Discomix)
8. Niney The Observer - Blood And Fire (12" Discomix)
9. Gregory Isaacs - Rock On
10. Christine - Saturday Night
11. Leroy Smart - Mr. Richman
12. Mighty Diamonds - Well Hot
13. Heptones - Temptation, Botheration, And Tribulation
14. Jr. Byles & I Roy - Weeping-Water Rate (12" Discomix)
15. Observer All Stars - Teach Them Love
