Not specifically reggae, but John Martyn, who had quite a bit of stuff produced by Lee Perry died today.
Big Muff probably being the most notable one was recorded at Black Ark.
John Martyn's memories of the time there are documented in his biography, and it all sounded pretty manic.

Very sad news, he was a great guitarist, and a true free musical spirit. I once saw him open for Eric Clapton, and he was spellbinding.
