"Rock Me In Dub" By L Thompson

Post by kandi »

Greetings,

I would like to know the vocal track name and album in which we get "Rock Me In Dub" featured in Negrea Love Dub by Linval Thomson/Revolutionaries.

Thanks for the info

I have been looking for that as well but couldn't find anything.
If you're looking for more tunes on that riddim in general ckeck Gregory Isaacs "Party In The Slum" on the "Cool Ruler" LP. You can find the "Slum" named Dub to this one on the "Slum in Dub" LP.

Linval Thompson I've got on the tip of my tongue but I can't remember!!!

Anyway two other are;
Gregory Isaacs - Party In The Slum (Cool Ruler LP)
Ranking Dread - Run Them Jaha (Kunte Kinte Roots LP)

Not »Rocking Vibration«, JB Welda. It's on some of those albums I'm sure!

I agree with Jah Bill...
Its Rocking Vibration (12') one of the most enduring tracks by Linval Thompson

Wow! I never realised the 12" mix was different from the LP-version of the same song! The Rocking Vibration I know (from the LP) is the same rhythm as Gregory Isaacs - One More Time or Ranking Dread - Natty Way of Living. Having listend to the 12" now I realise you are both right ... it _is_ the discomix version that is the same rhythm.

Linvals rhythms from this time are some of the best reggae rhythms ever done in my opinion.
