if Pat Kelly hasn't been mentioned his work with the Techniques and solo is sweet. I always wondered if Curtis Mayfield ever heard Mr. Kelly doing Queen Majesty and Little Boy Blue.

There Comes a Time is one of his best tunes - I think it was done as rocksteady, early reggae, roots and even digital style

no disrespect to bob marley, but i think most here rate him as a songwriter, lyrics, melody maker, but not his voice....ich mean his voice is good, but not among the best ones...

For me i have a little preference for don carlos
i love his sweet voice and his "ohh ohhh" and "hey hey" ;)) he could sing an entire song just doing that and i'd love it :D

But i would also add johnny clarke, sugar minott, ken boothe, dennis brown ... endless question it is !

Honestly, fashionable or otherwise, think of me what you will, but I've never really cared a lot for any one of the three Wailers. Certain songs, definitely. And I don't dislike him or them particularly. But for me, trying to be objective, if you take the degree of respect and reverence accorded to Bob Marley and notice how it towers over everyone else (internationally at least), then look at how his music compares with other artists of the same time and place, I find it strangely unaccountable. When I listen to the Wailers, I'm often more excited by Carlton Barrett than anything else.
