hi guys
i hope that some of you have had the chance to listen to one of the most bscure dub poets that lives in the uk:general ABU BAKA who i think is from brixton and was produced by linton kwesi johnson back in 1983 or 84."women talk" and "dub poets dub" by linton are also rare pieces to get.any tip that some members from this forum may give?

There is a 12" with General Abubaka on LKJ-records. His deejay piece (»Introducing Abu Baka«) follows an instrumental by the Session Men. On the other side there's two track by Dub Poet Michael Smith. Great great disco.

Abu Baka apparently made a living by selling hats.

that is the very one i listened to when a friend of mine got it from one of his uncle studying in france back in 1984.
would be great to listen to it again.never knew it was a s single.the man abu baka disappeared.some people from LKJ staff told me once that he is still living in brixton.
