Re: Question On Dillinger Albums
i feel that these were done within the same session, probably all rushed in bunny lee use for time in the studio. but all are good solid dillinger lp's.

Re: Question On Dillinger Albums
Back to the original question.
The "Talking Blues" and "Superstar" albums both issued in 1977 contain the the same songs and mixes.
The only difference is that "Talking Blues" on Magnum goes straight into the dubs where the "Superstar" album has a Vocal "A" side and Dubs on the "B" Side.
Then "Non Stop Disco Style" gets issued with exactly same tracks as the Magnum issue but with diferent song titles.
Why has RA never cross referenced these 3 albums as being one and the same which is something they have often done.
IMO, someone not in the know on these albums could quite easily pay good money not realising they could already own it as one of the other versions.
Also IMO, the "Talkin Blues" is the best sound quality and is more dymamic than the "Non Stop Disoc Style".
However, don`t know if i`m just fortunate, but the Weedbeat pressing I have heard is not as bad as led to believe earlier in thos thread, its is better than "Non Stop Disco Stle", but not as good as "Talking Blues"

Does anyone know when the over-dubs were added to the ridim of Tabrin Season on Dillinger 'Blackboard Jungle' LP?
