Half Moon
I have been listening on near endless repeat to Glory Dominion Majesty Power, the Half Moon compilation. For a label that had Joe Higgs, Johnny Osbourne, and Stranger Cole releases on it there is remarkably little information. All I know is that it was a studio based in Toronto in the 70s operated by Oswald Creary. Can anyone give me any info on releases? What LPs should I track down? I love the sound of this compilation - raw, powerful and bassy - and I need more!

Stay away from the Pluggy Satchmo LP ...Stranger Cole's 1976 LP"Forward in the Land of Sunshine" is a must IMO..Oswald was with Jerry Brown at Summer and broke off to create Half Moon...you gotta be into 45's to get Oswald's best stuff.

Excellent. I noticed the Stranger Cole Lp. I'm gonna have to track that down. Cheers for the light in the attic link too. Lots of Toronto goodness! Keep it coming. Have Half Moon 7"s ever been reissued?

My bad, think the Pluggy Stachmo is Summer.
