Hi RolfyT.

There is no problem with my Vol 2 CD 1 at all and plays well on my CD player DVD player and also in the car (before it got nicked lost month).

This could have more to do with the player not reading the disc correctly rather than the disc being faulty.

A couple pf years back I was playing my CDS on on older CD player. I had a similar problem with discs sticking and not playing correctly. These same discs on my newer CD players now play fine.

Hi Dave,

Sorry to hear your car got knicked. Strange thing is it's the only cd of my 600 cd's or so giving me this problem. Maybe I just have to switch my copy for another one. See if the problem disappears. Let's hope so!

do you have some examples of that leggo, cdrs being pawned off as cds i mean?

i ask because i do have one, the junior reids lost singles or whatever it was called first came out with no bar code on the package and a cdr inside! i was pissed off...i understand later releases fixed both of those issues (btw no bar code on package means no real retailer will handle it).

one love

Are not all CDS really CDRS anyway.

The only difference is you buy a legit release from a manufactured source via shop it becomes a CD.

You make your own copy of music via a laptop its a CDR.

Neither are re-writable and once the disc has been burnt cannot be recorded over again

TO me CDS and CDRS are one and the same, just worded differently according to the application.

Bought my parents a deck a little while ago and when I went to see them recently was amused to see that it is working very well as an ornament shelf!! Doh!!

My mum still has an old record player from when she was in her 30`s up in her loft (shes now 80).

She also has stacks of old 78`s, 45`s 7 LP`s from the 40`s 50` & 60`s up in the loft too.

They have been in the lofty since we moved to Dagenham in 1981.

I will get them down one day and see in what sort of condition they are.

Shes got many old original Elvis Presley 78`s still in the original cardboard sleeves plus many others.

Hi, please take note that the George Phang Power House Selector's Choice series is in Europe available as two 4-CD Box Sets which look pretty nice (no jewel cases!) for a very attractive price - the releases are on VP re-issue label 17 North Parade
Vol.1 = VPCD4146 with four CDs and a booklet
Vol.2 = VPCD4147 with four CDs and a booklet

Greetings - uwe a.
