I personnally enjoy beers and redwine (I never really like to write those kind of private things on the net...). But that doesnt mean Im enjoying dis kind of chune!
And I dont believe that alcohol is the root of any evil cause people know wah dem a do, at least when not addicted. If I was agressive or stupid when drunk, I would simply stop, hopefully, those who claim "they were not themsleves" can argue it only once!
People are probably a bit less agressive with weed effects, but again that those not mean they use it in a better way... Some are like stoned vegetables, sitting all day front of their TV and to me, its not really more glorious or less destructive...
We bring the positive vibes with our heart, not with drugs, that's true, but if you can do it with a beer, why not!...

having a few now. I do like a few beers. Stella is my tipple. and yes, a few Bud, Schlitz, or similar US beers would make me puke. Worst is Rolling Rock or Genessee which are as far as I can tell recycled stomach fluids mixed with chlorinated tap water! Bleargh!

There is always the assumption with any drug, that if a few idiots go completely off their heads and do bad things that the drug in question is bad. I've seen some bad stuff. Experienced it, mostly in Ireland. In Vino Veritas. Bad people will do bad things and will just be more liberated to do so with a few drinks in them.
Obviously nonsense but I'm finding increasingly, particularly in the so called post 7-11, sorry 9-11 world that 'the people' seem to be even more receptive to simple messages that do not require them to think critically.
It is very frustrating to the extent of being so on a personal level.
Thankfully most here on the Forum are like minded, independent thinkers who know damn well that further legislation does not produce an amelioration of living conditions for the people, but yet more bogus laws intent on allowing arbitrary investigation of good people.
Back to the topic - I'm hopefully not going to heaven then. Do they at least have wine?

But yes, definitely, different drugs have their own recognized effect on behaviour. Unfortunately these become labels that are abused.
Alcohol is generally a drug that is considered to make people more agressive. Well I have seen all kinds of effect of this drug on people and frankly I'm glad to have in most cases. I've probably seen mostly weed and alcohol at work (and no interest in the other stuff) and seen it make people great fun, creative, asleep, boring, repetitive, aggressive, melancholy - amplification of mood.
The stoner in front of the TV was probably never motivated in the first place.
The drunk beating the shit out of the foreigner was and angry motherf@$ker before he got drunk.
Don't take drugs when you are angry. Know yourself!

Leggo, I have sort of been there. In Dublin I experience some bad shit at the hands and feet of summa dem.
The cliche 'bad element' comes to mind - must be from school.
There is a part of Dublin called the Temple Bar - there is a bar there of the same name - when I used to go there it used to be people who drank huge amounts of beer and had a good time, chatting 'bout this and dat. In subsequent years - as my friend said 'slapperama' - same place transformed.
It is not safe to get drunk in the places you used to get drunk in. and I'm talking about me.
If I go to Dublin now I have no interest in the nightlife. What I knew in the grim 80s is all gone. It was NOT good then and is worse now.
I have no answer for this 'epidemic' of arseholism. Arrest the perps and make the parents pay?

We used to have 6PM closing here in Australia!
Now we have 6AM closing with a 3AM lock out rule....
Which means if your are not inside a venue you can't get into one after 3AM
