Anyone know the Gregory Isaacs source material for the album "Roots Radics Live at Channel One: Kingston Jamaica?"
There are some beautiful Gregory Isaacs vocal samples that drop in-and-out of track 2 "Dedication to Flabba Holt" that I'm particularly curious about.
Thanks!

Jarret,
I just listened to the track twice and I'm pretty sure it's Dennis Brown. The notes on the back of my CD say, "Special thanks to the Gregory Isaacs Outfit 'The Roots Radics' for laying the tracks on this album..."
I think what the notes are just pointing out that the Radics were Gregory's backing band for several years.

well, i think the revolutionaries were gregory's "backing band" on most of the 70s stuff.
or in other words: mainly sly & robbie.
i cannot even recall a single roots radics backing for gregory at the moment.

Pleased to say I actually saw Gregory backed by the Roots Radics at the Top Rank Brighton in 1980!informer wrote:i cannot even recall a single roots radics backing for gregory at the moment.
