Which not only brings Bellyman back into action (greetings to each and everyone, brethren and sistren, Roots- and other-man) but which also is THE ONE AND ONLY record that I-man will need on the lonely lonely island.
This is what reggae music is all about. Forget all the senseless arguing about Lovers/Roots, Roots Lovers, Lovers Rock, Roots music, rasta music andonandonandon...
Essentially all of that there is can be found on this album. Stories of day-to-day living, struggle, happiness, love & emotions. Backed by some of THE most crucial musicians ever contributing classic riddims from the Channel One studio.
Put all this in the right time connection, being from 1978, a time when Jamaica was suffering heavily from economics and world wide corruption upon the land.
Gregory Isaacs' most convincing and classic record imho. And yes, I must admit I am addicted to this album and to Gregory's music for more than 30 years now.
Playing it on and on until I die. Keep skanking everyone.
Niceness a shine.
