Though nowadays extremely rare, it went for not that much money on eyeballsbay quite recently.
If you are a Gregory fan you'll be mildly disappointed by his performances, but this is due to the semi-professional backing and mixing of the tracks. The whole album was meant as a showcase for Jah Mel when it was originally released. His tracks have a very unique style and kind of athmosphere.
Check Roydale 'Andy's' Anderson's autobiography ('my Reggae Journey') for more information, if you like.

Re: Anyone heard of "Gregory Isaacs Meets Jah Mel" LP?
I recently discovered the "Watchful Eyes" album by Jahmel thanks to a very good friend and fellow RA member.
I have to say it is one of the most wondeful reggae albums that I have ever heard.
The write up of this album when it came out in 1983 said that it was one of the best regae albums of all time and I have to agree,
Sorry for this being slightly off topic but I just had to give this album he thumbs up whilst on the subject of Jahmel.
So go find it, you wont be dissapointed.

"Watchful Eyes" has been re-issued on CD:
http://www.systemrecords.co.uk/jah-mel- ... 94523.html
It's included on "Now and Then" and although the track listing is out of sequence, obviously you can program the CD player to play it in the correct order...
