ok i know someone don't like reggae with synth...
but i have some real deep roots tunes with strong synth inside and i realy like them!
so here's mine synth tune!
Moja 7'' L.Willacy & Sound Unlimited - More Than Tongues
Reflections 7'' Jacob Miller - I'm a Natty
African unity productions 12'' - Ruffy & Tuffy - If The 3rd World War is a Must
Zion Yant 7'' Kush Dan I - Jah Law Of Love
Than if i'm not wrong on a Joe Gibbs Dub Lp there is a big synth version of Java...
can you name some others?

Gussy P(Prento) - Raw Rub a Dub inna Fashion.
It has one really wicked dub tune on the drum song riddim(track 10 'who is safe?').. with vocal snippets from Martin Luther King.

Ok...maybe i think that synth is not the right words to describe the sound i'm looking for...it's like a piano with effect and in some of the tunes you post i can't hear it...sorry for the bad description...
anyway check the short clip to understand what i'm talking about...and please can you explain me how did they produced that sound? They use an effect on something...i think Piano...

Re: 70's/80's synth best tune
a matter of semantics really
hammond, farfisa, vox. All sythethisers of a sort.
The great Moog made something that could be really tweaked.
Sadly the results have not been that good. seems to me a point was reached when the ears got a bit cclogged to notions of tone...
YAMAHA DX

@Rootikalist
that's a synth, typical 70s analogue synth.
These days "synth" has a wider meaning.
