Tune ID Unknown singer + Early B

Post by kalcidis »

Bought a killer disco some time last year. However it has been bugging me a lot since there are no titles nor info on the labels.

It's released on Peach music and on the A-side is Clair McLean & Norman Collins - Back Together Again. But a different mix than the one released on Moa Anbessa. Really really good. I just love that song.

On the B-side however is a rub-a-dub song that has a vocalist first and then Early B doing his »Stop The Robbery« lyrics on a slower and heavier rhythm than the other cut of »Stop The Robbery«. The vocalist sings;

»*It must be shining somewhere else. When the moon is not shining here. It must be shining somewhere else. No one knows the creator Jah make the lightning flashing above. Flashing above. No one knows the creator Jah is the ruler for everything.*«

Any clues?

Was listening to this one again today. A great disco but I'm still very eager to learn who the singer is on the B-side.

Here's a sample;

Not sure, but might be Delton Screechie.
Anyone confirm this?

I was also thinking Delton Screechy as I know the A-side also has been released on Moa Anbessa label which has released a whole lot Delton material. Also Delton & Early B have done a combination together on the Moa Anbessa label. But still I'm not entirely sure if it might be him.

It is definitely not Malibu (is it the Live Blanket 12" you have by the way? Great song by Malibu that one!).

I've uploaded the snippet to zshare for those that can't hear it through putfile but want to check it out! :)
